A Few Deer Living by Our House Daily Now

So a lot of time has passed and we've been very busy taking care of all the animals.

Babushka, my main protege, is doing great here, not having to run from sometimes aggressive bucks or younger does who want to harass her. Sadly, her own fawn, Charcoal, has grown out to be an impossible teenager, and has been chasing poor old Babushka around. So this is like a sanctuary for her and 1 or 3 other does who are good with her. That'd be Mad Red, Junkie, #174 or Top 10.

Most of these deer seem to have adjusted to our dog Dobby being close by. They don't like him making sudden moves too close to them, but seeing him run around and play in the yard a bit further away doesn't set them into a panic mode any longer. Whew. It was pretty tiring managing the animals' interactions at first.
